Our training events are ideal for statutory and non-statutory organizations. They offer an opportunity for staff at different levels to develop further competencies and key skills ensuring that the organisations remains effective in discharging its duty under section 11 (Children Act 2004) to protect and promote the welfare of all children who they come into contact with, including adult services whose patients may have or come into contact with children, including the unborn child.
Different staff groups require different levels of competence depending on their role and degree of contact with children, young people and families, the nature of their work, and their level of responsibility.
The following key services are available:
- A Training Needs Analysis Service facilitating the identification of relevant safeguarding training and development needs, to enable a strategic approach to meeting the development needs of your workforce within an organizational training strategy or programme.
- Working with practitioners in the design of training course material to be delivered by in-house trainers, in response to any identified need.
- A dedicated Training for Trainers course including where relevant familiarization of any in-house training material developed in response to a training needs analysis or identified need following audit or Individual Management Review (IMR) and Serious Case Review (SCR) Recommendations.
- The delivery of tried and tested courses provided within your organization at a time and venue of your choice, including weekend and evening delivery availability.
